Converting Barn Into Usable Room

Our customer has a barn at the end of his garden which was used for storing junk. They wanted a room it converted into a room to be used for their business.

We had a big project ahead of us, the floor was rotten and had to be removed.  We replaced it with new floor timbers and 18mm ply board.

The ceiling was bowing so we had to put extra supports and relevel it.

After all that work was done we replaced all the plasterboard and plastered the entire room. We also built a small storage room with access to loft space.

We laid Quickstep laminate flooring using a fibre board underlay and fitted new skirting board.

We fitted new UPVC windows and doors and UPVC shiplap cladding to the exterior.

Once all the fitting and cleaning was finished we clean the rooms thoroughly and set about painting the walls, ceiling, door, skirting and architrave.

It was a big transformation to a damp unusable space into a beautiful warm dry room.
